Distartica is a heavy metal band from Houston, TX. Their first album released in 2017 entitled IN FLAMES WE RISE pays homage to their thrash metal roots. The album was received positively in the metal community and attracted the attention of Apple when they decided to interview Carlos V. to promote global accessibility month. Distartica's second opus, IN SILENCE THEY SCREAM, is a grittier plunge into a dark thrash metal sound. the album unveils an intense sonic landscape, exploring boundaries of their established sound. With relentless riffs and thunderous beats, it delves into themes of existential angst and societal decay. Currently, Distartica is composed of Bassist Alexander Dodd, Guitarist Carlos Zaldivar, Singer and Drummer Carlos Vasquez and producer and guitarist Alex Paxtor.
